The new trailer for We're All Going To The World's Fair confirms this.

Animated Poster For We're All Going To The World's Fair

The synopsis for We're All Going To The World's Fair goes as follows: "Alone in her attic bedroom, teenager Casey becomes immersed in an online role-playing horror game, wherein she begins to document the changes that may or may not be happening to her."

About the movie, Jane Schoenbrun revealed to No Film School:

[About the communal factor in Creeypastas] "This for me was fascinating as a creative kid who grew up on the internet who was certainly looking for a space where I could explore my identity outside of the prison of body that I didn’t feel comfortable in. That’s what really drew me to the subject matter, as for whether film itself is creepypasta or not—while I’m certainly playing on creepypasta iconography and while the film is indebted to the genre—it’s still just a film at the end of the day."

We will have to wait for three more months to watch the movie, but the marketing campaign has been nothing short of engaging, with the dynamics between multimedia elements, and the mysterious tone well preserved.
